Grand Bay 2013

Today we had our first monthly event since the beginning of the new school year. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring God's creation with all of the kids. They oohheed and aahhheed over the gigantic (and I am not exaggerating!!) spiders and especially the baby deer. We happened upon a young snake and a few lizards, too. They learned about different types of trees and plants that are native to our area, and just enjoyed being outside. The sounds of the crickets serenading us still rings in my ears! We started off the day with a picnic in the shade while we caught up on how everyone's school year is going so far. When we finished visiting with the deer nearby, we headed out on the trail. All of the kids climbed the tower at the end, although one had to overcome his fear of heights to do it. He was so proud of himself, but also relieved to get back to the bottom! We all had a wonderful time!

Since our last blog we have had some exciting evenings of worship at church, helped provide school clothes and supplies for many of our kids, helped one family in dire financial straits, and helped pay the tuition of one of our "graduates" for college. All of your support is greatly appreciated as we seek to love all children in our path with ARMS WIDE OPEN!
